Navigating Biodiversity

Navigating Big Ideas is a book series that opens the door to complex subjects through approachable, thought-provoking content. Each volume features 50 concise questions and expert answers, brought to life through bold, full-page illustrations.

I had the opportunity to work on Navigating Biodiversity, a volume that serves as a guide to nature’s intricate variety and interconnected systems. I created 50 illustrations that respond to a series of questions to help readers begin their journey through the complexity of the biosphere.

The book was printed using just three spot colours – blue, green and burgundy. Through layering and transparency, the illustrations build subtle depth and detail within a deliberately limited palette, balancing playfulness with conceptual clarity.
